David has now made another working model of the Essoldo Albert Road Southsea as it was in the 1950s using led lights and a seven inch dvd player for the screen

His detailed models have been on public display with the Victory Model Railway Club (Portsmouth).
Most models like these on a model railway layout are only just the building front in the High Street.

BIRTH OF BRITISH ROCK EXHIBITION PORTSMOUTH FEBRUARY TO JUNE

On Sunday, David Barber gave a talk at the museum on Helen, and met the Honeys again, Vilma, Anita and Pearl, who toured with Helen on her concerts in the early 1960s.

David also presented a model of the Essoldo cinema Albert Road Southsea, to Dave Allen, lecturer of Portsmouth University, curator of the Pop Music exhibition.

The exhibition ran until the 6th of June.

BIRTH OF BRITISH ROCK EXHIBITION

The Birth of British Rock: photographs by Harry Hammond.

A touring exhibition from the Victoria & Albert Theatre Collection, featuring 100 photographs
of many of the rock 'n' roll stars of the 50s and 60s. It includes three interactive exhibits,
and a collection of original Portsmouth pop memorabilia.

The exhibition included HELEN memorabilia which David Barber has loaned: photos, letters,
concert programes, recordings etc.
