Louise Hummerstone has been in touch with the following information:
Helen very kindly signed a collection bucket for us [CHEK - Concern for Health in East Kent] after her show in Canterbury on the 30th of August.
We have been fighting plans to 'downgrade' our local acute hospital, The Kent and Canterbury. As you can imagine there is massive opposition to this, it would leave us with the nearest hospital 16 miles away on a single carriageway 'A' road that is notoriously congested.
Canterbury is the geographic center of East Kent, all publc transport comes and goes from here and the Health Authority have failed to convince the local population that is in their interests.
We have won the right for a 'judicial review' of the process of the decision making! Obviously we have to raise funds for this....hence the collecting bucket!
If the Friends Club would be able to auction it for us that would be great- CLOSING DATE 31st OCTOBER!
You can email your bid to Louise
