Bradford Community Radio presenter Carl Gresham will be broadcasting a series about Helen in January..
There will be three programes: "Spotlight on" is on Sunday, 3rd January - repeated 4th & 5th January;
and "Helen Sings the Hits" on Sunday 10th January - repeated 11th & 12th January. The third is an
hour long archive interview and music special that was recorded on the 14th November 1983.
The programme times are Sundays 11-00am to 12-00 noon, Mondays 1-00pm to 2-00pm, and
Tuesdays 9-00am to 10-00am. Overseas fans- check to see if you can listen online and work out the time to listen.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Alwyn Brentnall, a fan since the very beginning of Helen's career, on the 18th January.
His daughter, Helen Green has left a message in the Helen Shapiro Guestbook.

7TH JANUARY

BEATLES AUTOGRAPHS

This piece of paper has the acts from Helen's 1963 tour typed on it and has been signed by Helen and The Beatles. John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr have signed in black ballpoint pen, Paul McCartney has signed in black ink. The paper has also been signed by Danny Williams, Kenny Lynch and Red Price. A member of the group the Kestrels has written the group name in black ballpoint pen. The autographs were obtained at the City Hall, Sheffield on 2nd March 1963.

This sheet, with Helen's and The Beatle's autographs, is currently
being offered on eBay with a starting price of £459.
It finally sold for £2432
