Heard on the show recently- (Channel 4). In his competition part of the show he played "Walkin Back", and wanted to know whom the artist was. The contestant - and the audience all knew the answer, and the contestant won the money. Afterwards, Paul spoke to Cilla and they commented that Helen had been very young, and a very good artist.
Tommy Bruce (singer of 'Ain't misbehavin', amongst many others) has been suffering from cancer, and on The 15th January, a charity event was held at The Wyllotts Centre, Potters Bar in his honour, during which a guitar was signed by many 60's stars:

The Vernon Girls -'You know what I mean', 'Funny all over', they were backing vocalists for many stars through the 60's.
Barry Mason - Writer of many hits for various singers such as Tom Jones, and The Fortunes.
John Leyton - 'Johnny, remember me'. He also starred in The Great Escape.

Jess Conrad - ' Mystery Girl', and 'Twist my Wrist'.
Clem Cattini - Leader of The Tornados, who had a massive hit with 'Telstar', 'Globetrotter'.

Following Gay's decision to discontinue the Friends Club, a last get together was arranged for Saturday 25th February, at The Ramada Hotel, Ealing..
