HELEN SHAPIRO DISCOGRAPHY

The UK Singles 1962

They are pop singers Cliff Richard and Helen Shapiro, going gay in London's Embankment Gardens before walking back to more happiness
and some more stars at the Savoy Hotel. There Cliff and Helen got two of the annual show-business awards of The Variety Club of Great Britain.
Cliff,21, was voted Show business personality of the 1961. Helen, 15, the youngest of eleven award winners, was voted the most promising newcomer
along with actress Rita Tushingham. PS Seeing stars! A woman watches Cliff Richard and Helen Shapiro as they dance for joy yesterday (13-03-1962).© Mirrorpics

'Tell Me What He Said': Helen's fourth hit followed two number ones ('You Don't Know' and 'Walking Back To Happiness') and would have made it a hat trick if it hadn't been kept at bay for three weeks by the Shadows' 'Wonderful Land'. Another Brill Building song, it was written by Jeff Barry and was first recorded by Ginny Arnell in 1960.
